As you may remember, from a previous blog, Joshua Jones is the huge Dodger fan who became friends with Matt Kemp. Joshua met Kemp after attending a Giants game in May. At that time, something special happened between the two men.
Kemp went over to the young fan after the game and signed a ball. 
Kemp then gave him his cap. Then pulled his jersey over his head and placed it into Joshua’s lap. Then off came his cleats. Those too, went to Joshua.
They became friends after that.
Joshua was able to make it down to see a Dodger game and came onto the field at Dodger Stadium.
It is with sadness that we report that Joshua Jones succumbed after a gallant fight to his inoperable cancer. He was 19.
RIP Joshua and thank you for inspiring us all…
