Las Vegas Plastic Surgery
What is Dr. Roth’s favorite procedure to perform?
This is a question that I get asked often. The thing about plastic surgery is that there is tremendous diversity in the procedures – we literally operate on the body from head to toe. So, I think my favorite part is not necessarily a specific procedure, but the ability to make a difference in my patients’ lives. I always get satisfaction from watching their newfound confidence with their appearance. However, there are a few procedures that tend to get the best post-op reactions from patients, so I might classify these as my favorite.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty is also known as “ear-pinning” or ear reshaping. Most of the patients, (usually young girls), don’t want to put their hair back or play sports in an attempt to hide their ears. But with one operation, you can really make a change. There is often the classic moment after this operation. You take the bandages off. You hand the patient the mirror. She looks in the mirror, and starts crying. Then Mom starts crying. She then doesn’t have to hear words like “Dumbo” anymore, and she can put any teasing or insecurities behind her.
Mommy Makeovers
A Mommy Makeover is usually a couple of operations done at the same time. Often it is a breast procedure, (Breast Augmentation with Lift), a Tummy Tuck, and usually some Liposuction. This can be very rewarding as you can give the patient their body back after having children or after losing significant weight. The new confidence is truly amazing.
Facelift/Necklift and Blepharoplasty (Eyelid lift):
Facelift/Necklift and Blepharoplasty procedures, done separately or together, can have a profound effect on a patient’s confidence. The eyes and face are the first thing the world sees. This is even more true in our social media driven world that we live in. Getting freshened up and looking natural can make a large difference in our patients’ outlook.
Each operation can give a little bit of a different feeling, and each individual patient also brings something special to each case. My main goal is to help the patient achieve the outcome that they desire. That is everyone’s favorite procedure.
